Amateur  Radio  Operators  Global  RV  Travelers

We expect that the majority of radio operators reading this information are RV'ers.  You have already experienced the friendships and on the air contacts made with other amateurs as you have toured the United States in your Recreational Vehicle.  Now you have the opportunity to extend these experiences by traveling in rented motorhomes in other lands.  You are invited to join amateur radio operators and their spouses as we tour the British Isles the fall of 2000.  This will be our second tour.  Our first was "Downunder" , Australia and New Zealand.  Do not confuse these trips as DX expeditions.  But rather as an opportunity to visit new places and enjoy the many interesting sights.  Additionally you are afforded the opportunity to meet and visit local radio amateurs in these new lands.  Many opportunities for eyeball contacts as well as on the air contacts. During portions of April and May 1998 a group of 40 hardy individuals went downunder to tour Australia and New Zealand in 20 rented Class C motorhomes.  Click on downunder for some highlights of the Australia/New Zealand 1998 trip. Doing so will help give you an idea of what experiences will occur in the upcoming British Isle Tour.
